Until now there has not been an industry standard for clinical research auditing, but CRO Pharm-Olam and IAOCR have addressed that. Pharm-Olam developed a 12-week program, Core Global Competencies for Clinical Research Auditing, which IACOR has independently accredited to ensure consistently high standards of clinical research auditing across the industry. Individuals will be designated as Internationally Qualified Clinical Research Auditors, designated letters of AIACR. Pharm-Olam is funding the program for qualified members of its vendor network; however, the program is available to all individuals to gain the professional status.
