György Barta, Pharm. D. is Clinical Operations Director and Managing Partner at Research Professionals. RP-CRO is a GCP compliant CRO based in the EU member Hungary with operations in Poland, Czechia, Romania and Bulgaria.
György is responsible for the operational oversight of the clinical study programs run by Research Professionals for their pharma, biotech and medical device clients and home care research nursing activities in decentralized clinical trials. György is also taking part in business development activities of RP-CRO leveraging his extensive professional network built over 20 years in the industry.
György graduated as a pharmacist at Semmelweis University (Budapest, Hungary). During his university studies, György showed interest in clinical research and drug effect mechanisms, before completing a three-year post-graduate course as a pharmacist specialist in pharmacology.
Dr. Barta has spent over 20 years in clinical operations in both CRO and Pharmaceutical company environments. He has taken on roles of increasing responsibility in the CRO industry starting as a Clinical Research Associate progressing to local/regional project manager and a full-service global study manager (Clinical Phases II-III). Through delivery of the clinical studies, György has contributed to the development of several new drugs which are now available as treatment options for the patients in need. He supported pharmaceutical and CRO companies with his clinical operations expertise as a freelance clinical research professional before recently joining RP-CRO as managing partner to start a new chapter in his professional life with the aim to build and develop a CRO enjoying strong regional success.
György is the proud father of two daughters. Outside of the office you can find György on the tennis court playing singles or doubles matches but on sunny days you can meet him on the road as well, riding his motorbike, discovering the open road and enjoying the landscape.
