ACRP and the European Centre for Clinical Research Training announce the introduction of the ECCRT/ACRP STAR Program.

The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and the European Centre for Clinical Research Training (ECCRT), a SynteractHCR company, announce the introduction of the ECCRT/ACRP STAR Program, a comprehensive and collaborative clinical research training and development program being offered across Europe.

The new ECCRT/ACRP STAR Program is a 15-month training and development program that will ensure participating clinical researchers have the level of experience that employers desire when hiring clinical research staff and the requisite expertise and experience to sit for ACRP Certification Exams.

The ECCRT/ACRP STAR Program combines intensive face-to-face training, access to the ACRP membership community, and robust eLearning modules in a defined program that is supported by on-the-job experience to deliver a comprehensive curriculum based on specific job roles for Clinical Research Coordinators, Clinical Research Associates, or Investigators.

"ACRP is excited to partner with ECCRT on this new educational program," says James Thomasell, ACRP Executive Director. "The combined expertise of ECCRT and ACRP has resulted in a program that is ideal for new clinical research professionals. It provides the intensity needed at the start of the program to create a solid foundation to conduct ethical and responsible clinical research as well as the longevity to ensure that essential topics are retained and revisited over time. The end result is a competent, confident and capable clinical researcher which addresses the missions of both organizations."

"From day one of its existence, the ECCRT has focused on the highest quality training by imparting hands-on knowledge to the participants of our courses," says Gerald Van Roey, Managing Director of ECCRT, a SynteractHCR company. "The collaboration with ACRP is a great opportunity to extend the reach of our combined experience to more clinical research professionals worldwide. The ultimate goal is to enhance consistent standards of excellence among clinical research staff industry-wide, leading to better products and treatments for patients, globally."
