Applied Clinical Trials' 2025 State of the Industry Survey
Capturing insights from clinical research professionals on the key trends and challenges shaping drug development today, from those in clinical trial operations and site relationships, to technology and AI, and the evolving regulatory and policy terrain.
Applied Clinical Trials recently conducted its State of the Industry survey, capturing perspectives on the current clinical research landscape and outlook for the future.
In this slideshow presentation, we highlight key findings from the survey—spotlighting evolving trial operations, regulatory developments, and industry collaboration.
Survey data was collected from July 7 through Aug. 26, 2025, reflecting responses from more than 70 participants. Clinical operations leaders comprised the largest responder segment at 50.79%. They were followed by those in trial management; clinical research coordinators; individuals in regulatory affairs; data and lab managers; those working in patient services and engagement; study design professionals; and leaders focused in site selection.
Note: This survey was initiated before recent specific policy and global trade developments went into affect that may further influence clinical trial execution.
