Clinerion and Sigmasoft aim to bring access to international clinical studies for patients, physicians and healthcare institutions in Greece and Cyprus and to bring new treatments quicker to patients by accelerating trial recruitment.
Sigmasoft is a medical software company based in Greece and Cyprus with experience in eHealth. The company provides innovative software systems and consulting services for healthcare providers, institutions and pharmaceutical companies.
Sigmasoft’s MedExpress is a e-prescribing and electronic medical record (EHR)-based medical software in Greece, fully interoperable with the Greek National ePrescribing System. MedExpress is currently used by more than 3,500 physicians in medical practices, hospitals, clinics, primary care centers and healthcare institutions across Greece.
As part of the partnership, Sigmasoft will support Clinerion in integrating healthcare institutions and physicians in Clinerion’s international Patient Network Explorer platform, expanding clinical research opportunities for patients in Greece and Cyprus. Patient Network Explorer makes it easy for trial sponsors to bring their trials to patients, accelerating the path to market for innovative treatments by speeding up clinical trial recruitment.
“We are very pleased to partner with Clinerion and assist in more effective clinical research in Greece and Cyprus,” says Georgios Stefanidis, CEO & Founder of Sigmasoft. “We are looking forward in integrating more healthcare institutions across Greece and Cyprus in the Patient Network Explorer platform, as well as providing real world evidence data, based on our existing customer base of physicians nationwide.”
“Sigmasoft is the advanced technology partner we need to improve patient lives in Greece and Cyprus,” says Ian Rentsch, CEO of Clinerion. “Patients are our first priority. We are committed to the early detection, prevention and finding cures for all chronic and acute diseases using our homegrown patented digital technology.”

Behind the Buzz: Why Clinical Research Leaders Flock to SCOPE Summit
February 7th 2025In this episode, we meet with Micah Lieberman, Executive Conference Director for SCOPE Summit (Summit for Clinical Ops Executives) at Cambridge Innovation Institute. We will dive deep into the critical role of collaboration within the clinical research ecosystem. How do we bring together diverse stakeholders—sponsors, CROs, clinical trial tech innovators, suppliers, patients, sites, advocacy organizations, investors, and non-profits—to share best practices in trial design, program planning, innovation, and clinical operations? We’ll explore why it’s vital for thought leaders to step beyond their own organizations and learn from others, exchanging ideas that drive advancements in clinical research. Additionally, we’ll discuss the pivotal role of scientific conferences like SCOPE Summit in fostering these essential connections and collaborations, helping shape the future of clinical trials. Join us as we uncover how collective wisdom and cross-industry partnerships are transforming the landscape of clinical research.
