Clinical Research Profession Takes Major Step Forward

Movement to Unify Physician Investigators into One Comprehensive Organization Progresses as ACRP and AAPP Form Official Affiliation

Alexandria, VA – The Boards of Directors of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and the American Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians (AAPP) announced today that both organizations have signed a Definitive Agreemment signifying a formal affiliation between the two groups and their related Education Foundation activities. In this affiliation, AAPP creates a professional medical society known as the Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators (APPI) which becomes an affiliate of ACRP.

This action creates a single, global organization that will unify, certify and educate all members of the Clinical Research Team™ – an important development for the clinical research profession.
