New General Manager, Transition to New Raleigh Offices Highlight Datatrial's Expansion of North American Operations

Clinical Study Delivery Experts Enhance Presence in U.S. with New Facility and Personnel Additions to Better Serve the Growing Needs of Customers

Raleigh, N.C., February 4, 2009-As part of an ongoing initiative to expand its footprint within North America, Datatrial (www.datatrial.com) has significantly bolstered its data management resources with the addition of key personnel and a move to a larger office space, which will be directed by new general manager Craig Pyne.

In addition to hiring Pyne to oversee the growth of the new U.S. office and help reinforce the company’s global team, Datatrial has moved manager of study delivery Susan Edwards to Raleigh from its world headquarters in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The company has also integrated additional staff to meet the increase in demand from U.S.-based clients.

“These decisions resonate from the confidence our customers have in our team and in the solutions we are delivering,” said Datatrial chief executive officer Adam Black. “Fortifying our operations with strong leaders like Craig and Susan will significantly impact our growing client base in North America, in addition to enhancing productivity for our worldwide team.

“By adding personnel, bringing in strong management and increasing office space, we are able to continue to provide excellent support to global project teams while offering North American clients a strong local partner.”

Pyne has enjoyed a distinguished career in the clinical research and high-technology industries, working in the Raleigh area as the global head of sales and marketing for etrials Worldwide during its period of rapid growth, and more recently, as a consultant to companies looking to improve their customer experience and service. In his role as general manager, he will lead the U.S. team in implementing new programs and services that equip the company to continuously improve its responsiveness to clients.

“I’m delighted to join a strong, service-focused organization like Datatrial,” said Pyne. “The commitment the team has to understanding the unique demands of our client's clinical research and providing a tailored solution is exactly the approach necessary to ensure customer success. We have the tools, the people, the desire and the facilities to meet the growing demand for our products and services.”
