- Ian Hudson, M.D., who became chief executive of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in September 2013. He practiced as a pediatrician, before working joining the pharmaceutical industry in clinical research and development between 1989 and 2001, after which he joined the former Medicines Control Agency as director of its licensing division. Before being appointed as chief executive of MHRA, he was the agency’s licensing director, responsible for the majority of its medicines licensing activities. He was also the U.K. delegate to the Committee for Human Medicinal Products and was its vice chairman from October 2012 to September 2013.
- Susan Forda, PhD, Vice President, International Regulatory Affairs, Eli Lilly and Company. She initially trained as a pharmacist. After completing a PhD in neuropharmacology, she worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at St George's Hospital Medical School, University of London. She joined SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals as a regulatory associate in the Worldwide Regulatory Affairs Department and was the U.K. affiliate’s corporate affairs director. She is currently chair of the Scientific, Technical, Regulatory Policy Committee of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations.
