Last year, I attended the Sponsor/CRO Business Process Integration conference at this same time in New Brunswick, and it was one of my favorites. This year, it's in Raleigh NC.

The participation of the attendees, the speaker content, the level of interest was all very high. So when CBI announced they were going to hold this conference in Raleigh this year, I thought “Perfect!”

I have never been to Raleigh in my life until a month ago. It is a beautiful place, and the people are very friendly. And there are a LOT of CROs. Even ones I had no idea were there are there. So go ahead and check out the agenda and you’ll see first up a panel I’m moderating with a group of senior level executives from Arno Therapeutics, Infinity Pharma, and UCB Biosciences to discuss how these sponsors handle CRO oversight. A great way to kick off a conference.
The rest of the agenda covers equally engaging topics including Benchmarks and Best Practices for Sites, Sponsors and CROs; Utilize and Assess Study Metrics, and Partnership Management in Global Studies, as well as others.
If you are employed by a CRO or sponsor in Raleigh, I would encourage you to attend. If you aren’t a local, it’s easy to fly there and like I said the people are nice. Even the TSA agents. We will be learning a lot about Process Integration and we will partake of Southern hospitality.
