Medidata Adds Video eConsent

Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes company, announced the addition of myMedidata eConsent, which enables video visits with patients and study staff. With video eConsent, trial participants can engage in remote, face-to-face, live conversation between patients and clinical trial site staff during the informed consent process. This expansion of the company’s telemedicine/video visit capability is the most recent addition to the myMedidata portal designed to be a single patient platform for all patient-centered technology.
The benefits of enabling video interaction during eConsent include:
- Enhanced patient experience by allowing patients to engage with their clinical research team prior to consenting
- Improved consent tracking management, which reduces informed consent errors and eases the administrative burden for sites and study teams
- Accessibility through the myMedidata patient portal so that patients can virtually access all of their trial needs in one location with one login.
