The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) has opened the application periods for eight funding opportunities that offer up to $297.5 million in total funding. The latest PCORI Funding Announcements (PFAs) include up to $262 million for comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) studies that help determine which health care options or approaches work best for patients and their caregivers given their particular circumstances.
These first funding opportunities of 2022 advance PCORI’s ambitious three-year funding commitment plan totaling $1.8 billion, which the PCORI Board of Governors approved last year.
