22 April 2009-Phlexglobal, a leading specialist Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) delivering flexible support solutions for all aspects of the clinical study process, has responded to the increasing demand for flexible skilled monitoring resource by expanding its monitoring services division.
The Monitoring Services division is successfully supporting clinical research projects within both the commercial and non-commercial (NHS) sectors in the UK. With a team of highly skilled and experienced CRAs (clinical research associates) Phlexglobal is able to monitor projects on a short or long term basis across a wide range of therapeutic areas and offer clients a number of costing and project management options.
Sarah Tucker, Phlexglobal’s head of task force services, explained: “The industry needs skilled and experienced CRAs to ensure clinical studies are monitored appropriately to ensure regulatory compliance. We have seen that there is a shortage of suitably skilled CRAs and the current economic climate means companies are either unable or reluctant to take on trainees due to the costs involved in training them. Therefore, we expanded our task force team to be able to deliver high calibre, interim CRA resource whether on a short or long term basis.”
Sarah added: “We have built a “pool of excellence”, drawing from our extensive base of trained and experienced CRAs with both commercial and non-commercial backgrounds. It is very exciting to be able to take on a range of monitoring projects, either as a whole or in parts and be able to provide our clients with an invaluable resource in this highly pressurised financial climate.”
Phlexglobal specialises in flexible staff provisioning, eTMFs, scanning, clinical trial management and support, archiving and training. With a strong reputation for providing high quality professional study support services, Phlexglobal counts 16 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies across the globe as clients and is based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
