Quintiles Transnational Holdings, Inc. announced today that it has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to a proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The number of shares to be offered by Quintiles and its shareholders and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined. Quintiles expects to use the net proceeds it receives from the offering to repay a portion of its existing long-term debt and for general corporate purposes.
Morgan Stanley, Barclays and J.P. Morgan are serving as joint lead book-running managers for the offering. Citigroup, Goldman, Sachs & Co., Wells Fargo Securities, BofA Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank Securities are serving as book-running managers for the offering. Baird, William Blair and Jefferies are serving as lead co-managers, and Piper Jaffray and UBS Investment Bank are serving as co-managers for the offering.
