Anya leads product strategy and development at Roche for its Digital Biomarkers in Clinical Trials program. Prior to Roche, Anya worked at Kaiser Permanente and IBM, where her role focused on the commercialization of diagnostics, biomarker, and health data products. Anya has an MBA from MIT Sloan and a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia.
Florian Lipsmeier, PhD
Digital Biomarker Data Insights Lead
Roche
Dr Florian Lipsmeier is the Digital Biomarker Data Insights subchapter lead at Roche. He trained as a Bioinformatician and Biomathematician and holds a PhD from Bielefeld University, Germany.
He started his career at Roche Pharma pRED Innovation Center Munich in 2010 as a data scientist supporting antibody development, before moving to Basel in 2016 to focus his work solely on digital biomarkers—first for Roche Pharma pRED and now for Roche Diagnostics RIS. Dr Lipsmeier has deep experience developing and leading teams for signal processing and data science on Digital Health Technology derived sensor data. He is a co-author of more than 30 patents and manuscripts around digital biomarker and more than 90 conference posters, and is the co-founder of the EBI Digital Biomarker workshop series. Dr Lipsmeier is a recognized expert on digital biomarker science.
